Home
is where your makeup stash is!
It won’t be inappropriate
if we use the word stash for makeup because it is like a drug that keeps you craving
for more. The only problem is where to keep it? There are very pretty, readily
available, vanity boxes in the market but they are not suitable for two
reasons: firstly they are expensive; secondly they cannot store ‘all’ your
makeup, so, we are back to square one. We suggest you try this easy DIY
cosmetic organizer made from a custom
cardboard box.
Things you’ll need:
- Medium sized cardboard box
- Colorful sheet of paper
- Plain paper
- Glue
- Ribbon
Take the custom packaging
boxes and remove its flaps so you have an open-top box. Glue the outer
surface of the box including the bottom with the colorful sheet of paper. The
inside of the box is still the same brown cardboard colored, add a bit of life
by using a matching sheet of colored paper that goes with the outer design. Now
that you have the main structure ready, the next step is to add partitions
inside the box for your choice of cosmetic
whether you wish to stock lipsticks, mascaras and/or highlighters. Cut one flap
into half. Put the longer flap and the halved flap inside the box. Set them in such
a way that they make the letter T. Once you are happy with the placement, glue
them with the base. Tie the ribbon around the box to keep it in shape if
overstuffed and to make it look sassy. This project hardly takes thirty minutes
to complete. You can put it on your dressing table for quick use or inside your
cupboard to keep it away from your sneaky little sister!
